Braces Steps

BRACES STEPS

LET'S HAVE A CHAT.

If you feel that you would benefit from braces, your first step is scheduling a complimentary consultation. Our team will take digital x-rays and photos, and one of our doctors will personally look at your teeth. We’ll talk through your needs, and discuss whether you might be a good candidate for Invisalign® or traditional braces. We’ll explain your treatment options, how your insurance will help, and explain our flexible financing options.
The first step is attaching the brackets to your teeth. You’ll relax in one of our comfortable treatment chairs as we use a special glue to do this. We’ll thread the archwires through the brackets to begin the process of beautifying your smile. You’ll learn the ins and outs of caring for and living with your new braces. Best of all, it’s entirely painless, and there are no needles!

LET'S ADJUST.

As your teeth move into a more perfect alignment, we’ll want to see you to monitor their progress and make minor adjustments. It’s a quick and painless process, and should happen around every 8 to 10 weeks.

YOUR BRACES COME OFF!

Congratulations! It’s time to reveal your more beautiful smile! One of your doctors will take out all of the wires, and then use a painless tool to gently loosen and remove your brackets. We’ll polish your teeth to remove the residue from the special bracket glue, and then it’s time to admire your new smile!

DON'T FORGET YOUR RETAINER!

Once your braces are removed, your teeth are going to want to shift back to their old positions. The only way to keep your new smile beautiful is to wear a retainer. This will hold your teeth in place while your gums and bones settle into their new positions. Most patients only need to wear their retainer at night.
